An eclectic animation that aims to inspire The Lighting Bible helps architects and lighting designers to create enticing lighting setups.
An eclectic animation that aims to inspire
The Lighting Bible helps architects and lighting designers to create enticing lighting setups. Our goal was to create three videos that capture the essence of Delta Lights’ ultimate reference tool.
Establishing a fantasy world
A slew of different 3D rendering styles mixed with hand drawn 2D elements emphasizes the inspiring nature of the Lighting Bible. By mixing the various styles with a fast pace and sleek transitions, we developed a convincing visual language.
This dreamy, eclectic world encapsulates the creative process of the protagonist. We tried to portray the sometimes overwhelming train of thought when feeling inspired.
Because we needed the real word too, we reached out to MAIT. They delivered exquisite live action footage within a very narrow time window.
Belgian surrealism
We drew inspiration from the iconic painter René Magritte. It seemed fitting to use references to his work as it highlights the Belgian aspect of the Wevelgem based family business.
More fun
This project was different from our earlier work for Delta Light (Magnetic 2020, Fragma). The mix of styles was not only a lot of more fun to work with, it was also a lot quicker to come up with different ideas.
