3D animation of kintsugi
To bring to life the ancient art of repairing broken pottery with gold we did some experiments in our software. We tried different ways of breaking the objects, different object shapes, and different materials. We wanted to capture the brittle feeling of shards wanting to return to their collective form. Because of this, we opted for subtle, paper blown by the wind-like, motion.
