A courageous outdated robot seeks to fullfill his wildest dreams. We made a 3D animated music video for “Am I Alright Now?” by the Belgian band Ramkot.
Storytelling
With AI software rapidly improving, will we still have a job in 20 years? The central theme of the song is about feeling no longer relevant. A lot of artists struggle with following their dreams and trying to make a living out of it. Many of them are forced to work a “regular job”, which makes them feel like a very small cog in a big dystopian system.
The video concludes with an ambiguous message. Do you find peace in your current situation and make the best of it? Or are you doomed forever to being someone else?
How it’s made
For the main protagonist, we used the Rokoko motion capture suit. It’s a great way to convey the right emotions and add personality to the character. It was also really fun to work with.
All animation was done in Cinema4d and rendered in Octane.
