“Albert Szukalski was a sculptor and assembly artist (Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp). He worked with Jef Verheyen, Vic Gentils, Paul Van Hoeydonck. His “ghosts” or casts of draped cloth around (famous) figures are widespread, of the Middelheim to in Death Valley Project in Nevada. Its assemblied plaster noses and famous portraits are well known. He is co-founder of the “Pink Poets”.” – Verbeke Foundation
